Dr. Orr and I had a challenging task before us: facilitating a course on Science and Technology, via Zoom, in the midst of the global COVID-19 pandemic. The confluence of these techno-social phenomena occured as both of us, as a matter of our politics and theoretical standpoints, were questioning the technological mediations and simulations predominating in— and (e-)ffacing us— at the beginning of the 21st century. Neither of us would have preferred teaching online, but I am pleased in our collective perseverance at this particular, historical moment, where the collective is increasingly difficult to place, name, or face.
